1.Make your own puppet with moveable mouth.
2.Write a paragraph on the manipulation of each of these
puppets:
a. Shadow puppets b. Hand and rod puppets c. Marionette
puppets
d. Human arm puppets e. Life-size puppets (e.g., Big Bird puppet on Sesame Street)
3. Learn the correct manipulation of a hand puppet, and demonstrate by performing a song with a puppet. a. Synchronize mouth movements to words on a
tape or a spoken script. b. Demonstrate proper entrances and exits in puppet stage. c.
Demonstrate correct puppet height positioning. d. Demonstrate proper audience eye contact. e. Demonstrate hand movements using rods or human arm puppet manipulation.
4. Do six puppet performances either individually or with a group before an audience.
5. Develop at least three voices that can be used for different puppets. Demonstrate the use of these voices, and explain which character each one would be.
6. Draw a diagram of a least three different puppet stages you would like to build for a puppet ministry.
7. Write puppet scripts for three different Bible stories and give references. Each script should take at least 5 minutes to act out.
